A launch backed by santa Himself!

The Stage was set on October 18 as Jani joined with Elf Eliana (her second alter ego) to launch her new book, while benefiting the Woods Services Secret Santa Program.  

Jani jumped onto social media on FB and #teacherwiththecardinaltattoo on Instagram to drive excitement with fun encounters, personal videos about her journey, and updates on how her campaign was making a difference!  

• Jani donated 100 signed copies of her book to the cause, each providing a simulated job experience for a learner with special needs and each sharing a gold autism pin for the reader to showcase autism acceptance! 
• 25 hat and glove sets were donated to the residents based on the contribution of the first 25 sales. 
• The first 50 participants were entered into a group game with prizes. 
• For difference incentives Jani and her participants donated a Thanksgiving Basket to a unit for the holiday, and goodie boxes for the security teams, direct support professionals, nursing, and some dedicated supervisors on staff!  
• Mid campaign Jani and her family created an additional incentive to provide a $20 gift for  the next 10 angels that purchased book, taking a $15 donation to a $35 one!  

All in all this incentive grossed around $3000 for Woods to bring smiles to residents (including Jani's son) who are unable to spend the holidays with their families due to the pandemic!  Isn't that with the holidays are truly about?  Helping our neighbor rather than ourselves?
